Aaron M. Morrison, a Los Angeles immigration attorney with over a decade of immigration litigation experience, is the principal attorney of the Law Office of Aaron M. Morrison. Mr. Morrison has defended hundreds of clients facing deportation and specializes in handling complex immigration matters, including asylum and criminal immigration (detention and bond) cases.
Mr. Morrison is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”), National Immigration Project of The National Lawyers Guild (“NIPNLG”), and Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section. For the 2015-2016 term, he served as a pro bono liaison for the AILA Southern California Chapter. Mr. Morrison has also volunteered in Dilley, Texas with the CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project, where he successfully fought for the release of Central American women and their children from immigration detention.
Mr. Morrison is admitted to practice law in California and before the United States District Court, Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to opening his firm, Mr. Morrison worked for nearly ten years as an associate for a small immigration law firm in Los Angeles where he appeared in immigration court on a daily basis and defended his clients from deportation. Mr. Morrison has also represented clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Mr. Morrison obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2003 from Southwestern Law School, where he was Lead Articles Editor of the Southwestern Journal of International Law. Mr. Morrison received his B.A. degree (with Honors) in English and Religious Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He currently resides in Los Angeles. In his spare time, Mr. Morrison enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, playing guitar, walking his two dogs, attending Los Angeles Dodgers games, hiking and reading.
